About Me
I split my life between Dallas, where I grew up, and Omaha, where I'm working toward a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Creighton's Heider College of Business. I'm on track to graduate in May 2028. Alongside my classes, I work as an intern for Creighton Creative and as a communications assistant for Creighton Premier Club Sports. In both roles I create content and graphics for social media and help get more students involved.
What ties my work together is that I like finding the right material and putting it in the right order. I enjoy the research side of a project: digging through Google Scholar and library databases until I find data that actually strengthens my argument. One paper I'm proud of looked at generative AI and machine learning and used past data to predict where jobs are headed. My conclusion was that AI is more likely to create new jobs than to take ours. I also learned early, from a high school English teacher who drilled us on it, that a strong opening and a clear thesis carry a lot of weight. That training has served me well in college.
I've also had to work harder than some people at the basics. I was diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia, and in elementary school I sometimes rewrote whole paragraphs, or whole essays, because of grammar. So I've built habits that work for me. I outline my thesis, topic sentences, and closing before I start writing. I write in order from beginning to end because jumping around overwhelms me. And I always have someone else read my work before I turn it in. I'm still learning to pace a big project over several days instead of finishing it in one sitting, and that's one of my main goals this year.
My summers have taught me as much as my classes. I spent two summers as a counselor at Kanakuk Kamps and was asked back in 2026 for the Leadership Team. There I mentored other counselors, ran the zipline and rock wall, and helped plan activities for campers. Through Creighton's Student Union Fellowship Program, I learned what it means to lead with humility and to serve the people you're responsible for. I try to bring that same care and follow-through to everything I do.
Going forward, I want to keep growing as a communicator. I want to write with more creativity and less rigid structure, build my vocabulary, and become more persuasive. I believe the best way to get better at something is to keep doing it. You don't run a marathon without training first, and I'm putting in the miles now.
